HybridCore V2 Standard vs. V2 Apex vs. V2 Flow
HybridCore V2: Standard vs. Apex vs. Flow
All three HybridCore V2 variants share the same 10-layer carbon composite construction. Same layup. Same materials. Same engineering. The difference is geometry — width, concave profile, kick angle, and intended skating style. This page helps you pick the right one.
The Shared Foundation
Every HybridCore V2 — Standard, Apex, and Flow — is built on this layup:
Carbon T300 ±45° / Maple / Carbon T300 0° / Maple / Bamboo / Glass Fiber / Maple / Carbon T300 0° / Maple / Carbon T300 ±45°
Total thickness: 8.6mm. You get the same torsional lock, the same bamboo rebound core, the same carbon outer shells, and the same durability advantage over maple — regardless of which variant you choose. The choice is purely about geometry and intended use.
HybridCore V2 Standard (8.25")
Width: 8.25" Concave: Medium Radial Kick: Standard — symmetric, all-around Shape: Symmetric twin Price: CHF 121.95
The all-around composite deck. The Standard is the starting point for most skaters moving to composite. Medium Radial concave is the most versatile profile — deep enough to feel responsive underfoot, shallow enough to not interfere with any skating style. Standard kick angles suit street, park, and transition equally well.
Choose the Standard if:
- You skate a mix of street, park, and transition
- You are trying composite for the first time
- You want a deck that does everything well without specializing
- 8.25" is your regular size
HybridCore V2 Apex (8.375")
Width: 8.375" Concave: Steep — Radial + W combined Kick: Aggressive — maximum tail angle in the V2 lineup Shape: Symmetric, wider platform Price: CHF 126.95
Maximum pop. Maximum lock. The Apex takes the V2 construction and pushes it toward technical performance. The steeper tail kick loads and releases faster — snap is more immediate than the Standard. The W element in the concave channels your feet into position automatically — flip tricks, nollie lines, and switch ledge combos feel more locked in. The wider 8.375" platform gives more foot contact without making the board sluggish.
Choose the Apex if:
- You skate technical street — stair sets, gaps, ledge combos
- You skate park and rely on consistent, aggressive pop
- You have sized up to 8.25"–8.5" and want the extra platform
- You want the most aggressive feel in the V2 lineup
- You already know you like steep concave
HybridCore V2 Flow (7.25" × 27.5")
Width: 7.25" Length: 27.5" Concave: Flat to mellow Kick: Shallow — Tail ~13–15°, Nose ~11–13° Wheelbase: ~13.0" Price: CHF 119.95
Composite performance in a freestyle format. The Flow is a fundamentally different shape from the Standard and Apex — smaller, shorter, flatter, lighter. It is built for freestyle skating, manual lines, and technical flatground where rapid foot movement and low board weight matter more than pop height or platform stability. The flat-to-mellow concave keeps your feet parallel to the board during footwork-heavy combinations. The shorter wheelbase makes the board feel quick and responsive to small foot adjustments.
Choose the Flow if:
- You skate freestyle or flatground technical
- You skate manual pads and flat ledges primarily
- You learned on a small deck and want to stay there
- You are a younger skater or have smaller feet
- You want the lightest V2 option

Still Not Sure?
Between Standard and Apex: If you skate mostly flatground and ledges, go Standard. If you skate stairs, gaps, and hard landings regularly and want the most pop possible, go Apex. If you are unsure, go Standard — it is the more versatile choice.
Between Standard and Flow: If your skating is mostly flatground, manuals, and freestyle, go Flow. If you skate any significant amount of street obstacles or transition, go Standard.
Between Apex and Flow: These are opposite ends of the V2 lineup. Apex is for aggressive, high-impact skating. Flow is for precise, technical flatground skating. If you are choosing between these two, think about what you skate 80% of the time.
